"You are never going to let me live that down are you?" Cari asked referring to his teasing and the fright she had endured earlier. She shook her head but couldn't fight off a grin, yeah they would be great friends.
"Are you saying that finding me would be easy if I were to run away?" Cari looked taken aback, one eyebrow raised as she stared at him. "I propose a challenge. Instead of exploring, let's play hide and seek. If I'm as easy to find as you suspect, then you should have no problem tracking me down." Call her whatever you will, Cari was completely serious and ready to play. but she was unsure if Regulus would want to play as well. Deciding that he needed a little push just to be sure, she played on the one thing that would make up any man's mind. His pride.
"Of course, if you're too scared to try to find me in the dark and by yourself, I completely understand." She shrugged with a light smile. Hopefully he took the bait, but if he didn't they could have just as much fun exploring the shack like they had originally intended.

"Nah. I don't think I'll ever let you live it down. It will just be to much fun making fun of you." Regulus responded, pointing his wand down the hall. He could see cobwebs hanging off the walls and roof. I wonder why the bloody hell it's haunted and this dusty if it has only been around for five years. Regulus though to himself. He turned to Cari.
"Want to know something?" Regulus said, asking the rhetorical question. He was never to scared to do anything at anytime. "Your challenge is accepted. Of course, for me, this won't be so much of a challenge as a little game." Regulus continued, sending a small wink to Cari as he closed his eyes.
He stood there in the darkness, his other senses sharpening. "I'll give you thirty seconds to run and hide. Then I'll act like I don't know where you are and look around aimlessly." Regulus call out, grinning. He started to softly start the count. "One...Two....Three.."

Cari watched as Regulus used his wand to light up the hall and shuddered when she saw all the cob webs and dust. Eww! For a moment she regretted ever suggesting a game of hide and seek in such dismal conditions. But then again, the gauntlet was thrown and Cari was now in for the game of a lifetime.
Regulus's attitude kind of shocked Cari. Either he was pretending to be arrogant or he actually believed that he could find her easily. Then again maybe it was his way of getting back at her for basically calling him a chicken. "It's on!" Cari smirked. She watched as he closed his eyes and started to count. Thirty seconds wasn't much but if she played her cards right, she would be able to find a good spot to hide.
He turned and started to count, that was when Cari put her plan in motion. She took off making sure her steps sounded loudly on the floors. Hmm, the dust could prove to be a problem. She thought when she saw the small tracks her feet left in the dust. But while she was the dumb Ravenclaw, she was still a Ravenclaw and made it a point to use her brain.
At the end of the hall she could turn left or right. She took a left, her steps still echoing loudly through the shack. Inside the room was an armoire along with other stuff that was too settled with dust to be clearly recognizable. For such a new shack this place sure had a dust problem. She made it a point to stand in front of the large armoire before quietly tip toeing out of the room and into the next. Just as she suspected, her steps still left marks in the dust.
The room across from the one she was in was just as barren as the last. Her eyes fell upon the closet. Deciding that she need not tip toe any longer, Cari walked to the closet and opened it. It was dark inside and Cari wasn't sure she wanted to know what may be lurking in the dark depths. Heck it could be one of those dark wizards Regulus had been talking about. Not wanting to take a chance, Cari shut the closet door just hard enough that it made a faint click. Maybe Regulus had heard it.
Like a fox, Cari backtracked on her steps to the armoire in the other room. In a swift motion she was inside with the door shut behind her. Now all she had to do was wait for Regulus.
