Or not -
So, I'm looking to get things going/motivated with Mai. For those that don't know her, for the most part she's a good natured free spirit who can be prone to weirdness. She's got enough spunk to keep her own, even with more troublesome individuals. I'm looking for a spattering of different things - the classic friends / enemies / potential relationships. If anyone's interested!

Claire would be happy to be friends. She's small, too (short people must stick together), and also a 5th year, so they would have had classes together. She's quieter than Mairead, but accepting of quirkiness (though she herself isn't very quirky) so they could be friends if you'd like.

So, yeah, I'm doubleposting but I'm doing so in my own thread. That seems, somehow, less wrong. But, I know things are slowing down with school starting. But, if anyone's looking for threads and such, let me know. I'm open for anything - friendly, conflict, etc.

Well Ethan isn't one to be enemies with someone, but he definitely might be a little freaked out by Mai's personality (as you can see in the thread we're currently sharing hehe). Perhaps they start off on a really bad note, with Mairead glaring at him and even trying to sabotage him (tripping/making comments when he's around pretty girls), and then they have a yelling match (or whatever would fit our characters haha)...and then become friends, or simply gain an understanding? ;D

Yes, heh, I definitely got that vibe. Though, Mai is, to a certain extent, playing the role for Bryana's benefit. She's still an oddball, but she isn't one to fight back, for a lack of a better word. She's used to being regarded as strange and an outsider and has learned to be comfortable with it. He'd really have to get on her bad side for her to actively try to sabotage him. She's more prone to shrugging it off or trying to live up to that reputation. If he finds the right triggers, though, she does anger quickly and can have a temper. I like the yelling match/continued tension turned friend idea - Mai has learned to appear to have a pretty thick skin, but she does feel it.
So, yeah, I'm now rambling, but also in thread withdrawal. We can definitely look into this, but I'm up for other things from other folks to to fill the posting void.

I see more of a playful rivalry, now that I think of it. Since Ethan and Mai probably won't ever see eye-to-eye, they can't really be "buddies"...but it'd be fun to have a sort of in-between friendship where you never know how one will react to the other. For instance, Ethan could be talking to a Pretty girl and Mai could bring up something embarrassing (I.E; "Whew, Ethan, could you have stunk up the bathroom any more?)...but if Ethan is ever in trouble (or vice-versa), Mai could be an unexpected savior. We'll think of something  I'm looking for places to post and people to post with, is all! |

I'm definitely one of those that prefers not to predict where things go; I like the unpredictability of rp so, I'm all for saying we can start at the playful rivalry and just let it go where it goes. It might stay like that - something may happen and they end up hating each other. Who knows. I think Mai is, definitely, likely to have her amusements with what she'd see as Ethan's (and most guys) vain tendency towards the 'pretty girls.'
I'm definitely on the thread hunt, too. And, I don't know how you feel about multiple threads, but if you get desperate or it looks like the one we have might not continue (depending on Bryana's situation) I'm all for starting another simultaneously.

Well-I am still searching for charature Relations for Amaranth-so if you want Amaranth can be a mentor/older sibling figure to Mai. *shrugs* That is if Amara seems like a good enough charature.

Actually, I'd be all for that. Seeing as how she doesn't seem to be too successful with meeting people - perhaps a mentor isn't a bad idea.

A few of the threads I'm in have died and it seems as though most of the people she's run into think she's a bit odd. Which is true and not bad - however, for the sake of diversity, it'd be nice to have some different emotions out there. Mai is shy and a bit awkward around new people - she comes from a highly muggle background and all of Hogwarts is still a pretty decent culture shock to her. So, she could benefit from a friend, even someone that could be closer - someone who's all for the quirkiness and such. Or, in general, more threads will work to. I love plotting (both relationships and mroe involved things) so, if you are interested, let me know and we can get some excitement going!
