[/b] oday was a quiet day, too quiet for her taste. After sitting in the common room for a while, trying to come up with things to do, only one thing stuck with her, one that seemed even the slightest bit fun. That would be exploring the castle. She didn’t ask anyone to come along, knowing that everyone in her year had already done the same thing that she was planning to do in their first year. So with this in mind, Angelique set off on her own and began wandering around the castle. H[/b] alf an hour later, she had to admit that it wasn’t as good of an idea as she had originally though. Wandering around the castle, Angelique had forgotten to leave a trail of some kind which would lead her back to the staircases. Stupid, stupid, stupid, she thought, sighing as she rounded yet another corner. Couldn’t she have thought about it before setting off? Where were the portraits anyways when you needed one, she thought with a scowl. They always seemed to be wherever she didn’t want them to be, and they were never anywhere you needed them to be. ♠ Carson ♠Walking through this fairyland Will the wonders ever end? Up ahead a hope I see; Salvation from my misery. It was hard to believe that after all of these year, Cari could still manage to get herself lost in the castle. Given it was a freaking massive castle, but five years of roaming its halls should have given her at least a general feeling of where she currently was. Sometimes it felt like the castle was playing a big trick on her and changing paths without her knowledge. Surely the castle couldn’t do that… Or could it? There were staircases that moved and doors that disappeared, anything was possible in a place like Hogwarts.
Still Cari ambled on, her feet somewhat sore and her head feeling the beginning throbs of a headache. Who knows, maybe she would get lucky and stumble upon the infirmary. Though that was highly doubtful, Cari could hope. In the distance, Cari could hear the tell-tale sounds of footsteps. ‘Human life!’ She mentally cheered, her feet quickening their pace until she could see the back of whoever was in front of her.
“Hey! Hey!” Cari shouted as she drew closer. “Can you help me? I’m sort of lost.” Cari blushed at having to admit that little fact, but it was necessary if she ever wanted to get back to her dorm.

[/b] ngelique continued her way around halls, turning once every while, hoping that she would see a portrait, or maybe even another person or fellow student. The sunlight filtered through the large glass windows, and pausing for a moment, Angelique sauntered over to the window and glanced outside. Looking down onto the grounds, she saw colourful pinpricks moving around the grounds. What was so ironic that was that the she could see the people down there, but she couldn’t talk to them, and she couldn’t ask them for directions. Sighing, she stepped away from the window. Hogwarts should honestly provide a map to new students.T[/b] hen again, she supposed that she had gotten herself into this problem by wandering off in the first place. But how was she suppose to know she would get lost so easily? Sighing, she stepped away from the window and continued on her way. Just as she was about to turn the corner, she heard somebody yelling at her from behind. Relief flooded through her as she turned around, wondering who on earth had been wandering through the halls at such a convenient time. Waiting for the other girl to catch up, she leaned against the cold stone wall, with a small smile on her face. However, the next thing that the girl said made the smile drop right off of her face. "Oh, you're lost too?" she said, pulling a face. This was not going to be as easy as she thought after all.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/font]

♠ Carson ♠Walking through this fairyland Will the wonders ever end? Up ahead a hope I see; Salvation from my misery. The girl in front of her turned around and Cari vaguely recalled that she was the new girl. Still someone was better than no one and maybe the transfer student knew where she was. A nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach told her not to get her hopes up. The second the question had left the other blonde’s lips, Cari wanted to bang her head against the wall. “Please tell me you did not just say too.” Cari almost plead even though she was certain of what she had heard.
For a moment dread filled Cari as panic started to consume her more rational thoughts until she could only think in small concentric circles. What if they were lost forever? Students fifty years from now would stumble on their corpses and wonder what had happened. Her breathing became shallow and her hand flew to the wall to help keep her steady on her feet. Closing her eyes, Cari inhaled, counted to ten, the exhaled. Repeating the act several times, she started to calm down.
“Alright, so we are both a bit lost. There has to be some form of life around here who knows where we are.” Once they were open again, Cari’s sapphire eyes flicked down the hallway and back looking for some sign of life. To bad she had left her broom in the dorms, otherwise she could just fly out the window to the ground and walk in the front doors. But that wasn’t going to happen so Cari had to deal with the hand she had been given. Surely a Gryffindor and a Ravenclaw could find their way back to the more civilized parts of the castle. Right?
