The lake was pitch black, just like it's name, at eleven that night. If one hadn't known better, they may have just walked right into it, thinking it was part of the land. Luckily, the fog was thick around it's edges so Myseri had a distinct feeling that's where the lake began. Not only that, but she had been sitting under the tree all day. At noon she had wandered from the caste in hopes of finding some excitement. None. It seemed like everyone was sleeping. The people she had seen were so caught up in their own lives that she wasn't even a blip on their radar.
Myseri had been very noticeable that afternoon. She had adorned her Slytherin robes, a pair of black sneaker with lime green laces, tight black pants, an emerald green sweater, and her fingerless gloves. However, right now, the only thing visible was the shiny reflection of the moon on her eyes. Knees clenched close to her chest, Myseri sighed. Oh how she wished for friendship here. It's not like she was planning on ripping someone's throat out with her teeth, she fed today.
Another hour later, and another sigh escaped her lips. If she went into the castle now, a prefect or professor would rip her a new.. a twig snapped. Mysi's eyes immediately went for the sound. She silently waited for another. She wasn't about to get staked. Eyelids tightly closed, she tried to simply listen. Remove one sense and the others heighten, right? Nothing, not a single sound. Opening her eyes, she returned her attention to the lake. "It has to be my nerves," she mumbled to herself. Myseri really needed someone to talk to before she began talking to herself more frequently than any mentally stable person would.
