(Hmm I've decided to have her kiss him lol. I know its random, but yeah)
She laughed when he gave her that look. She had to admit it was adorable.She just refused to say that out loud. "Okay maybe thats a good reason" She said with a little laugh, and a smirk. Then without thinking for some reason she leaned over, and kissed him.

James had to be dreaming. There was no other possible explanation. Lily Evans could not have just kissed him. What if she had though, he thought? He'd been too shocked to kiss back. What if she thought him a terrible kisser? Oh no, he still hadn't done anything. He was still staring at her wide eyed. He felt as if everything was happening in foggy slow motion. How did muggles find out if they'd been dreaming? They pinched someone, right? That didn't make any sense, but James still befuddled mind couldn't work out anything better to do. Determined to find out if this was a dream, James reached out and pinched Lily.

She jumped a little when he pinched her. It didn't hurt that much, but still. She looks at him strangely. "What the. I kiss you and you pinch me?" she asked totally confused. She was trying not to just burst out laughing at his actions. Where it confused her greatly she found it funny that he went and pinched her like that.

That was stupid, James realised. Even if the muggles are right, I don't know what means I'm dreaming and what doesn't. Lily was still looking at him very oddly and he felt rather embarrassed and robbed of his usual cockiness. Looking anywhere but at her he muttered, "Sorry, I thought - I thought I was dreaming." Than the full realisation of what she had said hit him. He hadn't been dreaming, so she had kissed him. Now he was the one looking at her strangely. "But I wasn't,and..." he trailed off, then said very quietly, "you kissed me." he said, still staring at her.

She smirked, and nodded when he said that she kissed him. "Yeah and?" was her reply. She didn't deny kissing him, or anything like that. She admitted to kissing him. She wasn't sure why she had done it, but she didn't regret it. She didn't regret it at all. She was still trying not to laugh. he was so....well slow.

Lily was confusing him, more than usual. And James was tired, and his brain was not working properly, and she kept looking like she wanted nothing more than to laugh at him. His face must have been all screwed up, trying to figure this out. Lily was still smirking at him. Wasn't this the girl who couldn't turn him down often enough? He looked up at her smiling face, "Well, you don't like me, is all." Honestly, put in his position who wouldn't be confused. "Do you?"

"Before I didn't" she said answering his question. she had said before on purpose, because she couldn't really deny it she did like him now. sure there were things about him she couldn't stand,but no one was perfect. "But I just couldn't help it" she said talking about the kiss that just happened not to long ago.

James felt like the world was crashing down around his shoulders. He half expected Severus Snape to walk out of the boys dormitory and give him a friendly wave. Forget it, his brain said, the old crashing world sucked, this one is better. His head was still a jumble of thoughts. He searched his memory, trying to figure out what he'd done that had made Lily kiss him. He came up blank, everything that happened prior to the kiss seemed to be days ago and not worth remembering. Maybe Lily knew. "So, before you didn't, and...now you do?" He still felt like he was being especially stupid, but he was very surprised. "Sorry," he said, "It's just...I've been trying for awhile, you know."

She smiled, and laughed "Yes I do now" she replied. "Don't ask me how it happened, but I do" She said with a nod. She laughed a little at his stupid questions, but didn't really blame him. She had told him time, and time again no, and that she'd rather be with the giant Squid in the Black Lake. So much for that now right? The one thing she didn't want to happen happened. She didn't regret saying so though. She was glad she said it.

James felt happier than he'd felt in a long time, possibly ever. So she didn't know why, and neither did he. So what? That wasn't important. He could feel a really stupid grin building on his face but didn't even attempt to stop it. He didn't mind. He raised a hand to ruffle his hair and, feeling a little of his old confidence coming back said, "So...what now?" He couldn't stop looking at her and grinning, feeling like nothing bad could possibly be happening at this moment, like the world had stopped.

she smiled "We go on that Date I continued to say no to" she said with a smirk on her face. It only seemed like the right thing to do. "Does it not seem like the right thing?" she asked with a smirk on her face, knowing he'd probably like her answer.

James grinned, he still couldn't believe this was happening. "It sounds like an excellent idea," he said. His mind began to fill instantly with all kinds of ideas for dates with Lily. Hogsmeade seemed the natural choice, but the Three Broomsticks? Certainly not the Hog's Head, James thought. Then he sighed, Hogsmeade seemed so normal, so...average. He wanted Lily to know he didn't think of her as average. He couldn't think of anything out of the ordinary though. He wanted a date Lily couldn't have with anybody but him, but he just couldn't think of anything that felt right....until he thought of the invisibility cloak back in his dorm. Excellent idea indeed. Suddenly James felt more awake than he'd felt all night, as if sleep was something required of only mere mortals. He grinned at Lily, "So...ready to go?"

She looked at him strangely when he asked her if she was ready "It's like two in the morning are you serious?" she asked with a laugh. It didn't matter to her when they went, however she thought it would be a little strange to go at this hour. She wasn't tired at all though, so they could go now. It was just well she didn't expect him to say that.

"No. He's asleep." James knew it was a terrible terrible joke, and one he made almost all the time, but he could never resist. Don't blame him, blame Sirius' parents. Was it really two he wondered, spending time with Lily must've made it go by faster than it seemed. No worries, he wasn't tired, and homework could wait till morning, or, well, never be done at all. "You're not tired are you?" James asked, he didn't want to keep Lily up later than she'd like, but he also was feeling incredibly hyper right now himself. "I didn't know it was that late," he trailed off, "If you don't want to..."

"Ha Ha very funny" she said at his reply to her asking if he was Serious or not. "No I'm not tired. I just find it strange that you'd ask so late is all" she replied. "But we could go now if you wanted. I'm wide awake. I won't be able to fall back asleep for awhile, so sure if you wanna go at this late hour why not?" she replied. "But the bottom line is i do want to go sometime" she said with a nod.
